Label
This cylinder seal belongs to the Syro-Mitanian style and presents two main scenes: a lion attacking a curly tailed antelope, and two kneeling human figures facing each other and wearing round headdresses. The left legs of the human figures are placed crossing each other, and the proper left figure has one arm raised. Kneeling figures are seen in both Cappadocian and Syrian seal repertoires and are often identified as divinities. The entire scene is overtopped by a decorative motif composed of stylized swirling lines with encircled drill holes.
