Stone Age jades: Cultures, excavation sites and reports

Jades have been excavated at numerous Stone Age sites across China. Click each dot for a reference to the excavation report of the site. Thirty-two jades in the Freer collection are associated with the Liangzhu良渚 Neolithic culture (circa 3300–1250 BCE). They were found at three sites Anxi, Zhejiang 浙江省杭州市餘杭區良渚鎮安溪村, Xiaxi, Zhejiang 浙江省杭州市餘杭區下溪村, and Hangzhou, Zhejiang 浙江省杭州市, each marked on the map with a star inside a square
