This small head of a buffalo is presented without linear embellishment and speaks eloquently in sculptural terms, with particular attention to the curving planes of the face and contrasting flat surfaces of the horns. A single perforation is located beneath the shallow, vertical slot separating the two horns. The back of the olive green stone is flat.
