The body of the zhi 觶 vessel, which is encircled by a prominent ring where the curvature of the wall reverses, is supported by a tall, molded foot. The interior surface of the cup is smooth and carefully finished, but the rim is uneven and chipped. The underside of the base is hollowed out and shows a conical depression at the center. The zhi 觶 is somewhat later in date than the marble lei 罍 (S2010.40) and should probably be assigned to the end of the Anyang 安陽 period.
