The arc shaped huang 璜 disk is thickly sliced from an even green stone now altered to white in large patches. It is covered on both sides with a finely executed pattern of raised and faceted knobs cut in a diagonal grid pattern to produce an elegant, shimmering surface effect in light. Two holes have been drilled neatly from both sides near the blunt ends of the arc.
