The boar is courageous and independent. It is quick tempered and does not like to compromise. Something of a loner, the boar has few friends but keeps them for life. It possesses great inner strength and fortitude.

1. (Jan Stuart, August 3, 2010) Jan Stuart showed this jade to James Lally, of J. J. Lally on July 9, 2002, and we discussed the date. Mr. Lally opined that the marble carving dates to the Eastern Han 漢.
