[1] This was not part of the initial bequests from Louisine Waldron Elder Havemeyer (1855–1929), but was added to the list on January 7, 1930, by the curators’ recommendation to the Special Committee on the Havemeyer Bequest; On January 20, 1930, the Board of Trustees confirmed their addition (…”MMA 29.160.27-32 – 6 Japanese and Chinese paintings…”). The Havemeyer bequest included 1,967 objects.
