Search by typing key terms into the text box at the top of the page. If you need to find a term with multiple words, use quotation marks to ensure that the words are searched for in that particular order.

Add a + in front of a word to indicate that it must be included in the search results. Add a - in front of a word to indicate that it must be excluded from the search results.

Use filters (listed under "Browse by" in the left-hand column) to narrow your search results.

Looking for prints of Mount Fuji from the 1740s?
Use: "Mount Fuji" as your search term.
When results appear, click on Object Type in the left-hand column to expand the menu.
Click the + sign next to Prints to apply that filter.
Next, click on Date in the left-hand column to expand the menu.
Click the + sign next to 1740s to apply that filter.
Looking for Korean jars that are currently on view in the Galleries?
Use jar as your search term.
When results appear, click on Place in the left-hand column to expand the menu.
Click the + sign next to Korea to apply that filter.
Next, click on On View in the left-hand column to expand the menu.
Click the + sign next to Yes to apply that filter.
Click "Clear search" below the text box to begin a new search.
